Slightly overcast sky in the morning, east wind. At seven thirty, 57°F [13.9°C]. There was only a little ice floating on the river now; [it] dropped somewhat during the night. At noon, 78°F [25.6°C]; very strong wind from the southeast. Two swans were seen today. The wind was very strong during the night also. As always, the Indians played around their village, especially the young people in the evening.
